On behalf of the Martlets Hospice, I am writing to thank all those local women who took part in our 2008 Midnight Walk. All 1200 places on this 13-mile sponsored Walk were taken and everybody rose to the challenge of completing a demanding route.Our thanks too go to all the volunteers who helped on the night and to the many people who sponsored the walkers. It is a source of great encouragement at the Hospice to know that the community continues to value and appreciate the service that hospices, such as the Martlets offer to those in need.
I am sure that we will be organising another Midnight Walk in 2009 and we hope that even more people will be able to join us. I can also tell you that we are also organising a 13-mile Noon Walk for the men of the City to be held on Sunday 5th October 2008. Please tell all the men you know about their chance to help the Hospice too.
